Description: Up for bid is an unusual Sphalerite, Cleiophane and Willemite specimen from the Sterling Hill Mine in New Jersey. The first unusual thing about this specimen is the Sphalerite and Cleiophane have good SW response that doesn’t get drowned out by the Willemite. This makes it a good SW display piece. The second unusual thing is the intense Blue and Pink fluorescence of the Cleiophane under a LW Convoy type flashlight. Under a SW or LW bulb you mainly see the Orange of the Sphalerite. However under the Convoy you mainly see the Blue and Pink of the Cleiophane. The first picture is under SW UV. Second picture is under a bulb type LW UV lamp.
