Description: Up for sale is a rare Jerry Reuss pitcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates 1976 MSA Disc Isaly's Sweet William Family Restaurants Disc #47 from a set break. Condition is "Acceptable". There are some imperfections including surface scratches and edge wear and some discoloration due to age. Overall, the disc is in decent condition for it's age and would make an awesome gift for any Reuss or Pirates fan. Please see photos for more information. Jerry Reusswas a Major League Baseball pitcher for 22 years from 1969 to 1990. He is best known for his years with theLos Angeles Dodgers. He also played for the St. Louis Cardinals, Houston Astros, Pittsburgh Pirates, Cincinnati Reds, California Angels, Chicago White Sox, Milwaukee Brewers and Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1988 he became the second pitcher in history, joining Milt Pappas to win 200 career games without ever winning 20 in a single season. Reuss is one of only 29 players in major league history to play in four different decades. Reuss was a two timeAll-Star first in 1975with the Pirates, having 18 wins and 11 losses that season and an earned run averageof 2.54, and then again in1980with the Dodgers,striking out all three batters he faced in that year's game, and earning the win. The 1976 Isaly Sweet William Disc Set was regionally produced and distributed throughout the Pittsburgh area by the Isaly Dairy and Sweet William Restaurants. As a result these discs are rare and highly sought after. There were a total of 70 discs in the set. Up for sale is disc number 47 out of 70. The discs have various colored fronts, are un-numbered and measure 3-3/8" in diameter. These discs are considered an "oddball item", which make them highly sought after being collectors.
