This sheet of paper is likely made of standard wood pulp. It is lightweight and soft with a slightly textured front surface and very flexible. Washi paper has a whole host of materials and uses. From drawing paper, woodblock prints, and shoji screens to doll-making, wrapping paper, and postcards, the three main materials are kozo, mitsumata, and gampi, all plant fibers.
