Sign : Mumei Blade construction : Shinogi-zukuri, Iori-mune, Ubu Nakago This sword has two appraisals. 1. Appraisal by Honami Nisshu(Living National Treasures in Japan) is Minamoto-no Kiyomaro. Age : Koto, Edo Tenpo - Kaei Period (1830-1854 CE). 2.Appraisal by the Society for the Preservation of the Japan Art Sword (NBTHK) is Araki Kiyoshige / Minamoto-no Kiyoshige. Age : Koto, Edo Keio Period (1865-1868 CE). NBTHK, also known as Nihon Bijutsu Touken Hozon Kyokai (the Society for the Preservation of the Japan Art Sword), is one of the oldest Japanese sword appraising organizations in modern-day Japan. They authenticated the blade on Aug 23th in the six year of Reiwa (2024). They appraised it as Hozon Touken, the blade especially worth preserving for Japanese society. The purchaser will receive this original certificate as well.
