Description: Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a lovely antique Japanese cloisonne enamel on bronze vase, Meiji Period, c. 1880. The vase has a several decorative multi-color horizontal bands from the neck to the shoulder area with for panels that extend to the base with alternating colors and designs. One panel has a cream colored background, one having a golden background, one dark green background and one having a copper colored background with shimmering gold stone/mica highlights. The base is solid bronze and the interior mouth is covered with a heavy turquoise enamel application. The two copper panels are decorated with flowers and butterflies and the two golden tan panels have a stylized bird in the design. Measures 7" high with a 1 3/4" diameter top and a 2 1/8" diameter base. Weighs 9 ounces. This nice vase is excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws.
