Description: Large red Blue Ridge Jade from the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, United States of America. This specimen is similar in type Asian Bone jade mostly red with red browns and pinks a touch of white, a touch of grey and greyed olive green, nice red shades bone like type but a North Carolina version, all North Carolina jade. Natural with unpolished cut ends so you can see the interior. The beauty of these specimens shows when they are polished. This specimen is 3 1/2" x 3" x 2". All measurements are from the longest point. Review photos of the specimen for a detailed description which can describe this rare color better than words, pictures are taken with the jade type wet and drying. Mixed reds to brown and black, natural coloration combination. It has been suggested by a licensed gemologist as nephrite or a combination of actinolite.
