Description: Description Jacqueline du Pré: The Complete Warner Recordings 23 CD Box SetProduct introduction 35 years since the death of the genius cellist Jacqueline du Pré A box set with the latest remastering from the original master tapes! Includes first-time audio! Jacqueline du Pré, who was also popular as a genius female cellist and left behind many recordings for the old EMI, was praised by the New York Times as "clearly born to play the cello," and her passionate commitment to her work and refined technique brought scorching strength and brilliant joy to her music. At the young age of 28, she suffered a tragic and incurable disease and passed away at the age of 42. Her career was tragically cut short by illness. This new box set brings together all of Jacqueline du Pré's old EMI classics, collected over her short 12-year career. With the exception of some sources, the original tapes have been newly remastered at 192kHz/24Bit (the two albums conducted by Barbirolli use 2020 192kHz/24Bit remastered audio). The "Brahms: Clarinet Trio" on CD14 is a first-time recording. The "R. Strauss: Don Quixote" on CD12 was first released in 1995, but this time it is a new edited version by Studio Art & Son in 2022. This recording was originally started by Otto Klemperer, but Klemperer left the show after one day of recording (and canceled subsequent concerts), so Adrian Boult quickly recorded in his place, and it is said to have been a one-time performance without another take. According to Andrew Keener of Abbey Road Studios, who was in charge of editing and remastering at the time of the first release in 1995, "The start button was pressed too late during recording, so the first bar was missing and recorded. To make up for that part, we cut and spliced together the fragmented recording tape with Klemperer." This time, Christophe Henault of Art & Son Studio Annecy has used the latest digital equipment and tools to reconstruct the sound and create a completely seamless edit with even better sound. *The recordings are based on the original couplings, so some recordings are not performed by Jacqueline du Pré. *The "Dvorak: Cello Concerto" (1967) with Cherubidake, currently on sale by TELDEC, is not included here because it is a DG recording. *As this is an imported product, the product (including the jacket, exterior vinyl, exterior box, case, and enclosed items) may have small scratches, creases, scuffs, dents, tears, dirt, crushed corners, scratches and dirt on the disc surface that do not affect playback, differences in image, and individual differences at the time of arrival. We cannot accept returns or exchanges for these reasons. Please be aware of the condition and quality of the product before purchasing.Work information Cello: Jacqueline du Pré Conductors: Daniel Barenboim, John Barbirolli, Adrian Boult Orchestra: English Chamber Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, New Philharmonia Orchestra, Israel Philharmonic Orchestra Contents Number of pieces | 23 Track Listing 《CD1: Early BBC Recordings, Vol. 1》 1-6) J.S.
