Description: EXCELLENT 6.0 GRADE COPY OF THE EIGTH ISSUE FROM 1948 (THIS IS A SLIGHTLY OVERSIZED COMIC AS ARE ALL THE EARLY JACK ARMSTRONG BOOKS). JACK ARMSTRONG COMIC #8 (1948) NICE FINE (6.0) COPY W/RALPH KINER WHEATIES AD Click images to enlarge Description This listing is for the "JACK ARMSTRONG" issue #8 comic from (1948) and is a slightly oversized book as are all the early Jack Armstrong comics. Jack was known as the "All American Boy" and also had a very popular radio show. This is an very nice copy which lies relatively flat, has very good gloss, near white pages, decent and tight staples, and a very good spine. It does however have the following minor faults: there is a pencil price at the top of page one, there is a light vertical crease which is only on the front cover and has no color break, there are some minor edge tears and some creasing at the right edge and lower right hand corner of the front cover (which can be seen in the last photo), and finally there is some dirtiness at the bottom edge of a couple of the interior pages. Overall this is really quite a decent copy, I gave it a grade of FINE but I really think it's a touch better, please (check out the photos to judge the condition for yourself). About Us We have been dealing and collecting, for many years, in the paper collectibles field. Our specialties are First Edition Books, Comics, Paperbacks, Pulps, Comic Book and Daily Strip Art, Autographs, Big Little Books, and Movie Posters. We ran our own comic store outside of New York City a number of years ago trading in the above items mentioned. We believe the experience we gained, from running our own store, has helped us in many areas, but especially when it comes to Grading. We consider ourselves accurate graders and we back that up by offering a liberal, no questions asked (30) day return policy, and by posting clear, decent sized, showing all edges, UNENHANCED photos, of the items for sale. This way you can accurately judge for yourself whether you agree with our assessment regarding condition, as they say, one picture is worth a thousand words. Bid accordingly!
