JABO Elite Marble: Huge Purple Ghost

Description: JABO Elite Marble Huge Purple Ghost MINT Run Date: 6/26/11 This JABO Elite run is a classic JABO marble run that has a big following from JABO collectors. These Elite marbles have been categorized as having some very brilliant colors and this marble is no exception with the canary yellow colored glass covering a large portion of the surface complimented by deep red oxblood swirls. The real interesting color is this purple/magenta ghost glass. The intrigue for the purple/magenta is due to the colorized effect that makes it look like a thin veil of silk is covered over this area. This produces a type of "ghost shadow" against the oxblood swirls...so interesting. This effect is not seen that often and it is quite eye catching. It is pretty cool effect and I have no idea how the experts at JABO were able to accomplish this shadow swirl effect. If anybody knows, please shoot me a note and educate me. I am fascinated by this style of marble. Many Elite marbles have this same phenomenon. In any case, this Elite marble is a bright and vividly colored marble that will add nicely to anyone's collection...enjoy. I try my best to take high resolution pictures with flash to show exactly what you are getting. I use a Canon Rebel DSLR camera with built-in flash to highlight any small imperfections that might otherwise go unnoticed with lower quality pictures. I try to rotate the marble to give multiple views. This marble was manufactured using the 3/4" machine and the size of this particular marble is huge shooter-sized 0.771" in diameter as measured with electronic calipers.
