This is a really nice antique or vintage souvenir spoon and fork lot of three from Pompei, Italy, the famous city near Naples that was destroyed by the eruption of the volcano Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. The city is being excavated and studied and has led to a great view of life back then. 1. 5-3/8" enamel bowl spoon, not silver. You can see a smoking Vesuvius in the background in the enamel bowl of this spoon. It has a horse on the handle, a symbol of the area. It is from approximately 1930, our estimation.The bowl has a colorful view of some of the ruins and "Pompei". 2. 5-3/8" 800/1000 silver fork, with a winged cherub on the handle, a symbol of Pompei. Stamped "800" and "Made in Italy." It weighs about 115.2 grams. 3. 3-7/8" really nice spoon with the cherub and "Pompei" on the handle.
