Description: Ireland 1922 Harrison 1/2d coil "long 1" variety Scott 59a, Hibernian T62a in strip of 3 Mint Never Hinged VF-XF This is the 1/2d coil stamps overprinted by Harrison and Sons, with the 3 line "saorstat" overprint. These stamps were overprinted on full sheets of stamps that were then cut out and the ends pasted together to create rolls of stamps. These were produced in horizontal and vertical rolls. This set of overprints also had a major variety that is listed in all the major catalogs, a "long 1(or tall 1)" in the date, that shows a serif at the bottom of the one. I am offering an example that has the Long 1 (Scott 59a) (Hib T62a) in the center stamp of a horizontal strip of 3. This is a very nice example with full perfs on all sides, frequently they are trimmed on one side. They are mint never hinged. The Hibernian Catalogue values this at €28.00 and the two regular stamps at €12.00 for a total of €40.00 for the three single stamps. The Hibernian Catalogue also indicates a premium of at least 50% for stamps with perfect perfs all around. The centering and perfs on this example are superb. The 2024 Scott catalog values this at $40.50 for the three single stamps The items you see in the scan are the exact items you will be receiving.
