Description: Inlaid Box With 18 Old Foreign Coins Currency - Some 1864 & Much Older. I acquired this from the Stillwell estate of Plymouth MA.; the family goes all the way back to the 1600's Mayflower. Most of these coins are dated around the 1920's era but several are much older - a 1915 France 10 centimes; 1864 Napoleon coin; 1899 British half penny coin; 1788 Austrian Netherlands coin measures 1 1/8" wide; and a coin with a small hole punch that I could not read that measures 1 1/4" wide. Please refer to the many detailed photos to make a good appraisal. The wooden box is not antique but has decent vintage age and has wonderful inlaid pattern. Provenance: This item was owned by Agnes Newhall Stillwell 1906-1957 & Richard W Stillwell 1899-1982 who were well known professors at Princeton University, in fact several generations of the Stillwell family included many who lectured at Princeton. I recently acquired many fine items from the Stillwell family estate at Plymouth MA.
