This model commemorated Firestone’s return to Indy in a time where Goodyear was dominant. They ran the 1994 season only in testing and competed a full season the following year. They later went on to become the sole tire supplier in 2000. Thanks to the successes found in 1995 and the competitive nature of team owner U.E. "Pat" Patrick of Patrick Racing. Many of these sat on the desks or waiting rooms of tire shops only to be dropped, played with, broken, or otherwise destroyed.
