Pure nickel strap is soft and conforms well without damaging paint. These were originally offered in nickel-silver (there is no silver in nickel-silver) by Atlas Cycle Accessories, Detroit, MI as early as 1948. Indian put out Accessory Bulletin #82 in February, 1949, announcing their arrival at dealerships. The emblems were later put into the 1951 Indian Accessory Catalog. All parts REALLY are Made in the USA. I've been making and using these on my bikes for 20 years. The photo of the Vincent handlebars is of an original St. Christopher Medal. Can you spot it?
