Brief Description of Patent: This invention relates to boots and shoes and has particular reference to those of the heavier classes such as are worn by miners and others. The main object of the invention is to improve the construction of boots and shoes of the character referred to in such a manner that the heel portion of the upper is fortified and strengthened against the exceptional and excessive wear to which such part of the upper is subjected by miners and others in the ordinary course of their business. Condition: Slight crinkling. Pages loose. Wear to left hand edge where patent has been removed from the volume. This was sold by a Library and has their stamp impression on some of the pages/drawings.
