The center of the dish is polished to a bright mirror shine, while the rim is done in a foliate design, appearing like a ropetwist or gadrooned type of design from a distance. Upon closer inspection, this design is exceptionally crisp and detailed, with fine texturing on the surfaces of the leaves. The tray is well made, with the quality and craftsmanship expected of the Tiffany name, and has a good solid feeling of weight in the hand. The center of the platter has a monogram of JTC in flowing script. This piece is in excellent condition. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monogram removals, and no repairs. The underside of the piece is stamped with the Tiffany & Co. maker's mark, sterling silver and the initial 'M' for the company director between 1907-1947, John C. Moore II.
