Description: Impressionist landscape of a view to the coast, likely Ogunquit, Maine region, titled "A Bright Morning" by Edward Reynolds Kingsbury 1855-1940, listed Massachusetts/Maine/California artist, oil on canvas, 20" by 24", signed lower right, high quality vintage 22K gilded carved reproduction frame, 26 3/4" by 30 3/4". Artist was born in Boston and studied at Massachusetts Normal Art School, Boston Museum School, and Academie Julian in Paris. He was a member of Salmagundi Club and Ogunquit Art Association. He was a resident of Carmel, California in the 1920's, then moved back to East Coast -- Ogunquit, Maine, and then Cambridge, Massachusetts. Condition is excellent for age, recently cleaned and revarnished, replaced stretcher keys, frame with an intentional lightly distressed/aged finish.
