Weyersberg’s expansion into Central America as business development and investment partners were the Deutsche Entwicklungsgesllschaft (DEG) of Germany, Adela Investments Company from Luxemburg, and a group of Central American investors – mainly Salvadorians. In 1987, a consortium of distinguished and diverse Central American business leaders acquired the company and actively directed plans for dynamic future growth, installing a new management team and providing significant capital investment. In the years since IMACASA has built upon its excellent reputation for the quality of its products and for its customer service, and distribution centers have been opened in Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Panama to accommodate steady increases in market share throughout the Americas.
