Description: This is a wonderfully illustrated Policy from the Fire Association of Philadelphia on North Fifth Street. It is made out to Parker Smith on May 29th, 1850 and has a "cancelled" stamp dated 1898. This policy is for a three story brick dwelling house in South Philadelphia. It has been stamped with the Association mark, a bucket and fire hose. It is signed by George Tryon, President 1837-1872, who was also a famous American Firearms Maker. In fair condition; this policy has been folded, so the creases are delicate, and in several places have split. There are small stains, and other blemishes, creases, wrinkling, discoloration, and wear to the edges and corners. Unfolded, it measures approx. 22" x 18" Please refer to the photos for condition and detail.
