A TRUE First American Edition/First Printing/First State with ALL First Edition Points present including "FIRST EDITION" being clearly stated on the copyright page and a FULL number line! This rare treasure has some clearly visible wear, particularly to the dust jacket, but is still in lovely, Highly Collectible condition! The book appears gently read and has no internal writing, no internal foxing, no remainder marks, no missing or ripped pages and is NOT Ex-Libris or a BCE. The binding is tight and the pages are still surprisingly crisp and clean! Some general/shelf/age wear along with bumping/wear to the spine/corners/cloth boards, creases/marks/wear to some of the pages and marks/foxing/wear to the edge/fore pages, NOT affecting the text! Please not the marks/foxing/wear to the edge/fore pages. The wear is VERY clearly visible and has been closely photographed for your careful examination/consideration. The original, First State dust jacket is fully intact and NOT price-clipped! The dust jacket is NOT price-clipped, but the bottom corner/area of front inside flap has been cut! It remains a mystery to us as to why someone would cut/remove this area but the unfortunate decision has resulted in the bottom area/corner of the front inside flap to be missing. The wear resembles what one would typically see when a jacket is price-clipped and has been closely photographed for your consideration. Once again, the bottom section of the inside front flap is no longer present! Some general/shelf/age wear along with creases, chipping, scuffing, rips/tears and marks. Please note the wear on the spine, at the corners and near/along the edges. There are also numerous, large marks/discoloration on the inside of the dust jacket! The wear to the dust jacket is VERY clearly visible and should be carefully examined/considered. We tend to grade the condition of our books rather harshly and took into consideration any and all wear when determining the value of this rare book. Our VERY LOW asking price is a reflection of that consideration. The wear should be carefully examined/considered BEFORE buying.
