Description: Up for bid is a great Ihagee Exakta Varex VX camera. While I don't shoot on it often, because I have to rethink composure and hand placement each time I get ready to fire the shutter... (Shutter button and film advance are on the left side of the camera)... I really do enjoy using this camera when I do take it out. It has an almost 'steampunk' look and feel to it, and it is enjoyable to use. The camera functions well. It's old and used, but in great shape. As you can see from the photos, there is a little dirt, a little dust, all marks that the camera has been around for quite some time. But I tried to take photos that show the view you get when looking through the meter, or what the mirror shows when you're taking the photo. I didn't use the slow speeds or even try the knob on the right side of the camera. I'm not sure how it all works and just chose to shoot with the speed dial on the left. Comes with a case, film take up spool, eye-level view finder, camera. The lens is not part of the auction, but I'll include it in shipping if you want it. It does not close down, so all photos taken with it will be at full open aperture. I just wanted to open about the condition of the lens and let you know that it's not part of the auction and it was photographed for display purposes. But the camera functions well. Ships USPS or FEDEX, in recycled shipping box and either packing peanuts or bubble-wrap, whichever I have on hand.
