I didn't use it outside or live, I mainly used it for composing indoors, and I usually kept it in a soft case. I tuned it down to low C.The tension was maintained. Tuning it down further to low B or lower would be difficult without modification. I tuned it down to low A, but it wasn't suitable for this guitar. It's still in good working condition.
