The beads are Miyuki glass. Miyuki beads are known for their brilliance and beautiful high quality. Using the traditional Huichol techniques, his glass beads are individually strung into pretty dangle style earrings. The design encompasses the Peyote flower star or Hikuri, the 6 pointed star, Prayer Arrow symbols and just absolutely brilliant colors. The prayer arrow and Peyote symbols ask for gratitude and messages from the Huichol Gods during their ceremonies. At the top, the hexagon shaped top (2" x 2") has an 6-point Peyote star medallion with prayer arrows in the shape of God's Eyes. The tips of the star begin with white sparkle and graduate to blues and greens. Between each point of the star double prayer arrows in the same colors and green leaves add more brilliance. The background is made of AB (aurora borealis) blue beads that shine like the northern lights. Below the medallion, 27 graduated length strands match the colors of the medallion and form the prayer arrow symbol. At the bottom of each tip, a larger faceted glass bead in AB blue finishes the design with a beaded floral tip.
