Description: Huge Vintage Military 100cm Cooke Troughton & Simms Brass Parallel Rolling Ruler Click image to enlarge Description A large vintage military Hydrographic Office Cooke Troughton & Simms solid brass 100cm rolling ruler in it's original case and both with military markings : the solid brass ruler with twin knob handles, a 100cm scale to one edge and a protracter scale to the other edge, and marked 'Cooke Troughton & Simms' / (fleur de Lis) HO 68', whilst the original fitted wooden case has a triple brass catch fastening and is marked with the military arrow and 'HO 68', c.20th century (unsure whether the '68' on the ruler and case refers to the Hydrographic Office dept. number or the year ?) Size : the ruler 100cm x 7.5cm, 4.42Kg (5.78Kg inc. case) Condition :Good used vintage condition with no damage and smooth rollers, expected light marks / wear / surface scratching consistent with age and use and with tarnish / pitting to the brass. The original case good with only a small bump to the front edge and a couple of bumps to one end (see last 2 photos) - please see all 22 photos below (message me if you require additional photos / info, etc).
