Description: This is beautiful just as something to set around even if you never intend to use it. It has a gorgeous patina. Imagine all the leaves that were actually made with this. This is a really rare 3 piece set that's complete. Makes a huge deeply embossed Maple leaf. This will work great on velvet. The deep indentations are really meant for velvet fabric.First, there is the cutter. It's 5 inches tall and the cutter head is about 4 1/2 inches across and 4 1/2 inches long. (please note that it's not like cutting out cookies. You'll need a heavy rubber mallet and a LOT of force) The cutter is made of iron. There is also a 2 part leaf mold complete with top and bottom. The bottom part is made of I believe iron and is 4 inches wide by 9 1/2 inches long including the wood handle. It's almost 3/4 inches thick. The bronze top is 4 1/2 by almost 4 1/2 inches. It's one inch thick. When you put the top and bottom together it's 1 3/4th inch thick. Together this sets weighs 10 pounds! You could clean this up a bit more and have it as shiny as the day it was made if you like. I think there is still a bit of fabric lint clinging to the indentations of the mold.
