Description: This auction is for a magnificent Pauline Rader signed huge double chain, almost breast plate sized Byzantine designed, necklace. The hanging "plate" has a 1 1/2" lapis lazuli stone in the center, surrounded by a ring of textured metal balls, highlighted with tiny gold tone metal flowers. The section with the lapis is bordered by a rope design textured metal ring. The remainder of the pendant is flat textured metal with gold tone "knobs" around the outside edge, similar to old armor. The pendant portion measures about 5" across and 2 3/4" from top to bottom. Metal dangles in textured gold tone metal, measure 1 3/4", with five hanging from the pendant. The chain is a double chain, with substantial chain woven link to link in a beautiful design. This necklace measures about 27" in length. Spectacular over-the-top signed Rader vintage necklace!
