Description: This paperweight was owned by my father-in-law's aunt, and we believe it was purchased in the 1970s. It has been in storage in his smoke-free home for the past 20+ years. It deserves the chance to be better appreciated! This paperweight features a pink and white Minnesota Showy Lady's Slipper with green leaves on a blue background. It is about 2 1/4" in diameter and 1 3/4" high (at the peak). The base is flat with a concave center. It is signed as mentioned in the condition description with Whittemore's signature cane -- a black W on a yellow background on the underside of one of the green leaves. It also is etched with the number 09 (or possibly 60) on the bottom. I gave it a gentle polish with a dry microfiber cloth, and I did notice a couple of minor flaws (very tiny surface scratches) on the top of the paperweight as I tried to show in the photos. Please note that any bright white in any of the photos are just reflections from my overhead lights or windows. I took photos in lots of different types of light and lots of angles to highlight the beauty of this paperweight despite its minor flaws. Please see the photos for up-close details as part of this description, and please note the stand is not included. It will be packed with extreme care and shipped using USPS Ground Advantage to keep shipping costs as low as possible. Thanks for looking! Please message me with any questions before purchasing. Also, if you are interested, please see my other listings for more rare Whittemore paperweights.
