HP/Agilent 8643A Synthesized Signal Generator 1 Ghz W/ Options

Description: This listing is for an HP/Agilent 8643A signal generator. It operates from 260 KHz to 1.030 GHz. Included in this listing is the HP 8643A only. No other equipment or accessories are included. Functionally, this unit passes all internal test routines with no errors. It passes the self-cal routine in the service menu, and most functions have also been tested manually. The amplitude is flat to within .2 dBm across the frequency range as tested with an Anritsu thermal power meter. The listing images show photos of the timebase frequency, a screenshot from a spectrum analyzer showing a 1 GHz signal at 0 dBm, and photos of the output amplitude at 1 GHz and 100 MHz. Physically, the two VFD displays are very clear and bright, show NO signs of burn-in, and appear to have very little use. The windows over the displays are clear, but the right-hand display window has a few light surface scratches (they are difficult to capture in photos). All connectors/jacks are in good shape and the unit is free of corrosion. There are a few minor cosmetic blemishes, such as a mark on the bottom of the front panel and a few paint defects from use/storage. Please see the auction photos for details. This unit is fitted with options H02 and K01 as well as an OCXO. H02 is "Improved Performance from 252 kHz to 1030 MHz". I am unsure what option K01 is, but I suspect it may be related to military or FAA compliance or performance standards, or it could be a special OCXO option. I know the unit has an OCXO because I can see the drift during warm-up after plugged in, but the frequency is very stable after this period (<0.1 Hz of drift @ 1 GHz when warm).
