Through all these partnerships Howdy's talent on fiddle shined through. Other than bluegrassers, Howdy counted as his admirers Benny Martin, the great contest fiddler, and Eugene Fodor, the great classical violinist. Howdy Forrester's technique, completely self-taught, could cross musical genres. This album, originally recorded in 1958 for MGM with backing musicians Ray Edenton, Junior Husky, Jimmie Riddle and Bashful Brother Oswald, is demonstrative of that fact.
