Description: Proudly presented today is this beautiful Kachina doll, depicting Tawa, the Sun Kachina. Standing 8 inches tall, to the tip of his feathers, he is beautifully carved by Eric Roy, son of the legendary Coolidge Roy, and nephew of Silas Roy. As can be instantly seen, there is a striking resemblance to the Kachina dolls carved by Coolidge Roy, but unlike Coolidge's work, this is AMAZINGLY carved from a single piece of Cottonwood root, surely a case of the pupil exceeding the teacher! Eric's work is always animated and dramatic, delicate yet vital. In this exquisite example, the face of the Tawa glows with life, and the moisture tablet is by itself a work of art. He told me that the face alone took 3 days to carve. Eric's work is seen in Monongya's Gallery and Cameron Trading Post, as well as the Kachina House, in Sedona. Buy with complete confidence, for as you all know, if the buyer is unsatisfied for ANY reason, I will immediately return the full purchase price, including return shipping. This piece would look great in any Kachina doll collection; shouldn't it be in yours? Many Thanks for your kind consideration, and as always, Best Regards, Rich
