Description: Nothing like a homemade lap quilt add some coziness to your home decor along with adding some color to brighten it up. I tend to make lap quilts on the long side which makes it nice because then it keeps your feet covered when using it. I used 3 layers for this quilt, and the middle layer is a low loft batting, so it is not bulky and lays flat. The quilting technique I used was free motion quilting to add some visual appeal to it and to keep all 3 layers stabilized. The free motion was done free hand using my machine. I do not own a computerized machine, so the stitches are random and not a consistent pattern which makes it unique. This technique also prevents the layers from shifting. The binding was done by hand. It is a perfect size for a lap quilt or to be put on display on the back of a chair or couch which would add some neutral colors to your home decor. You could also put it at the foot of a bed or on a trunk. It was made and has been kept in a smoke free home.
