Today, it still dazzles the screen with sharp contrast and VERY vivid colors. Before I retired this DLP projector, I replaced the lamp. The new one only has about 100 hours. The average life of a lamp in this projector is 2000 hours. Take your time and look closely at all of the pictures. The unit extremely clean. I left the mount in place, which will save you some time and money. When it wasn’t in use, I would use the lens cover.
