Description: Home-built HeNe laser-based ring laser gyro for experimentation or research or hacking or.... This is the first RLG I constructed several years ago. It includes a healthy Melles Griot 05-LHB-290 2-Brewster HeNe laser with shielded HeNe laser lab power supply, 3 mirrors on Thorlabs adjustable mounts, one with a PZT, a Quad-Sin-Cos detector assembly, all on an aluminum baseboard on Lazy Susan for rotation. An etalon block on an adjustable mount is also included which helps to force single mode operation. Also included are the necessary electronics to display rotation angle including the analog to digital interface and µMD2. The ancient laptop is NOT included! ;-) The video shows the output of the Quad-Sin-Cos with modest CW and CCW rotation. This isn't going to be useful for you plane or boat but with a bit (or a lot) of tender loving care, it can be used to demonstrate the basic principles of the RLG. Getting this back in operation will require a fair amount of work and knowledge of lasers, modes, polarization, Signac RLG principles, and more. It has been stored gently but I cannot guarantee alignment has been maintained. I will assist the lucky buyer in getting it working again. But please questions BEFORE buying or making an offer! Feel free to make a reasonable offer but it must be a substantial fraction of the BIN price. Sold as-is, no returns unless not as described. This item CANNOT be exported, sorry. Shipping and acceptance to a USA address ONLY. International sales will be canceled. Thanks for looking, --- sam
