On January 19, 1991 F-15C 85-0114 and his wingman were advised by an E-3 that hostiles close. Capt. Cesar Rodriguez rolled towards the targets and engaged one. Rodriguez dropped in on one of the Fulcrums and while trying to out-maneuver the F-15C the MiG-29 flew into the ground. On January 26, 1991 85-0114 destroyed a MiG-23.
