Description: This is a switch and plate for C100 Hobart mixer. Part# 00-291735 This is manufactured 100% to Hobart specs. Markings are etched into the surface for durability. Most important part on this assembly is the SAFETY stud directly below the switch. Switch is factory spec with neoprene seal on toggle paddle to prevent water from getting inside switch. Mixer operator/users get very comfortable setting up mixer before starting their batch. They will put on the bowl and with the left hand attach the beater while at the same time reach up and select speed they want to use. The very close prox-symmetry of the switch and the shifter handle becomes a Safety issue. With no safety stud below the toggle switch the switch is very easily turned on accidentally when reaching with a upward movement of the hand to change speed on the shifter. if the left hand is attaching the beater and the right hand accidently hits the on switch to on position. Hobart's final versions of the 10,12 & 20 quart mixer switch plates All have this stud to protect operators from accidental turn on of the mixer. This stud forces operator to put two fingers on toggle to lift into the one position.
