Description: This is an HO Scale Brass PFM Amtrak F40 Phase 1 Carbody (fuel tank to the rear). The unit is #210. This PFM model has some wonderful upgrades internal and external that were done by a friend. First, the internal - he found the Bachmann Spectrum flywheels off of their motors worked perfectly on the PFM motors with no flywheels so this unit was retrofitted as such. In addition weight was added to really give tractive effort. On the outside he carefully removed the original as delivered "Amtrak" letters and put the correct size Amtrak decal on. Then per the 1990s practice the unit got the white sill stripe treatment. In addition the number boards were completed as well as the windows. This unit raised the bar on what can be done with an older PFM Amtrak brass unit. The unit has very little run time as was used mostly for display. The shipping is via USPS Priority Mail.
