As noted on the title page…"Containing Sketches of our Pioneers - Revealing their Trials and Hardships in Planting Civilization in these Counties - Biographies of their Worthy Successors and Portraits of Prominent People of the Counties - Past and Present." The first half of the book contains the History of Neosho County, Kansas (469 pages of information) and then after that there is a section that is titled History of Wilson County, Kansas (452 pages). In the back of the book there are 4 indexes: Index to Neosho County, Index to Wilson County, Index II which is a complete name index to History of Neosho County, Kansas prepared after the original book by the Chanute Genealogical Society in 1976, and then Index III which also states it was also prepared in 1976 and is the Complete Name Index to History of Wilson County, Kansas. Feel free to send me a message if you have a name you would like me to check the index for. Condition: Acceptable Condition. Please read as the book has some flaws. The paper on the inside back cover and the back page have separated exposing the netting (see picture). There is a gap between the spine and the pages and a crease on the spine. However, the pages seem secure and tight. Inside front cover there is a book plate with previous authors name and date on it. First blank page also has an address stamp with previous owners information. Rest of pages appear to be clean with no writing or highlighting on them.
