This is a genuine Classical 19th Century photograph of an unidentified singer/actor starring as Czar Boris Godunov in the great Russian Opera by Mussorgsky. His face shows much in the way of human expression. A beautiful image by Wesenberg, the Russian photographer and promoter of the arts. The photo is very old and in good vintage condition with some normal expected age wear (on the usual edges and corners). For some reason, the lower border on the front is covered by paper. The image is fine. The upper left corner on back is covered by paper. Obviously done a long, long time ago. We wonder id something is being covered?. The image is powerful and most dramatic. As was typical for Wesenberg, the backing is somewhat thinner. It measures approximately 2 ½ x 4 ¼ inches give or take.
