Description: Offered is the book "Historic Gainesville & Hall County-An Illustrated History", compiled and edited by William L. Norton, Jr. and published by the Historical Publishing Network in San Antonio. This book about the history of the northern Georgia county has a 2001 copyright date, is a stated first edition and has been signed by the editor. There are dozens of photos and other illustrations, most in black and white but some in color. The original dust jacket is included. The book is approx. 12 1/4" x 9 1/4" and contains 144 pages, including the index. It is in very good condition. The hard black cover has almost no wear, but does have a few light marks from handling. The gold words on the spine are still shiny. There is no cracking inside either the front or the back cover. The white endpapers are clean but slightly yellowed. There is a small number stamped inside the front cover. I see no missing or torn pages and all are well-attached to the binding. They have browned slightly, more so around the edges, but are otherwise mostly clean. I see no writing in the book except for the author's. The glossy dust jacket has no tears or holes but is slightly wrinkled along the edges. It has an unclipped price. I have a lot of experience with vintage and antique books but am not an expert so please let me know if my description is missing information and you have additional questions.
