The AD9220 uses a high-speed, low-cost single CMOS process and a novel architecture that achieves the same resolution and speed as existing hybrid single-chip solutions, with much lower power consumption and cost. Built-in on-chip high performance, low noise sampling and holding amplifier with selected external reference voltage to meet the DC accuracy and temperature drift requirements of the application. The device uses a multistage differential pipeline architecture with built-in digital output error correction logic to provide 12-bit accuracy at rated data rates and guarantee no code loss over the entire operating temperature range. It is suitable for communication system with frequency conversion under IF.
