Description: Wonderful vintage Herend, Hungary Large Oval Tureen & Lid in the Rothschild Bird pattern, 1003/RO. This is the lemon version with yellow ribbon detail and figural lemon finial. Also features exquisite hand painted birds on branches playing with a necklace, butterflies, bugs and applied roses on bright white ground. There is an raised swirl and basket weave texture, two green faux bois branch handles and gold gilt trim. Good pre owned condition, no major chips or cracks, there is a tiny fleabite to one of the yellow rose buds which is not noticable unless you look closely - see photos. This tureen is discontinued.
