Originally written in 1933 but banned in the US, this is the stated "First Printing" of the first US edition published by Grove Press in 1961. A prequel of sorts to Miller's first published novel, 1934's Tropic of Cancer, it was banned in the United States until a 1961. Book is VG+/VG+ condition, book is gently read, binding remains tight and square, text free of wear or marking. DJ is price clipped and is protected in a mylar protector.
