Description: Vintage tilted green glass carafe in a woven sleeve. There are no makers marks. Pontil on the bottom is 1" in diameter. Carafe is about 14" tall, 4" wide at the bottom. The top is oval. Sleeve part measures just over 7". There are no chips or rough areas. The bottom has some normal use scratches and the top has some scratches which are smooth to the finger, but the fingernail can feel them slightly. The inside of the glass has some bubbles and it's a little dirty inside, behind the woven part especially and on the outside-please see photos for condition. Cleaning was not attempted. The bands located on either side of the weave look like they were wrapped around the bottle and the glass was overlapped. The weave has no repairs or issues and the bit sticking out at the bottom looks like that was where the weave was ended. The glass is thick and a bit heavy, weighing just over 2 1/2 pounds. It is stable and not wobbly. A very nice piece. Thank you.
