Description: Hawaiian Big Game Trolling Lures MOP-9 MOP (S). This is the original Mother Of Pearl 9" Standard Cut (S). Illustrated in Fishing Hawaiian Style Volume 2. Runs on the Port Corner, occasionally alternated with the Original White Knight (WK-9) Jet. This is a very good runner. You will hear me mention “Standard Cut”. I use the Same Angle Face Cut on my other lures since it’s the same lead insert, WK or S. This is one of the most popular lures. The White Knights and MOPs are the first to sell out in the stores. People wanted Red Eyes so I am making it with them now. I remember one trip by the HH Buoy Pinnacle. The corner took off hard with a Splash and just kept going. Then as some Big Marlins, do, it circled and went in the same direction of the Boat. My Crew and I had a good look at the Marlin and this 9 inch looked like a 5 inch lure hanging out of the Mouth. Those days before Chafe Tubing we used to Tooth Pick the lure to hold the hooks in place. While it was jumping, it threw the Hook. My Crew and I looked at each other and were kinda glad it came off. This Lure is dressed with flying fish colored skirts. Lure: Polished resin with shell inserts. 9 inch is a 5 hole Jet with real Mother of Pearl shell inserts. Outside skirt is light blue with silver glitters called “Ice Blue”. Inside skirt is half pink and half yellow. Rigging: 1 or 2 Hook Rigging available.
