Description: Harley Davidson 1952-E79 Ratchet top rebuild kit. This kit includes a new shifter pawl bushing. If you don't change the bushing, don't bother rebuilding it. I have never opened one of these where the bushing was good. This kit starts with James top gasket and seals. It comes with all the springs, cotter pin and gaskets you need to do the job right and finishes with a new set of shifter finger rollers. I threw in the proper internal lock washer for the adapter plate screw as these are always missing and a split lock washer will not work properly. If you are doing a 59 & Up with the neutral switch I gave you two choices on the seal. The original brass early one, the ugly as sin Sportster fiber gasket the book calls for. The last item is the seal for the drum shaft. I threw in the OEM square seal. I also put in the regular every day O-ring. I know from past experience you will drive yourself to the brink of insanity trying to install the square one and after you shred it you will end up using the O-ring anyway.
