Description: I am selling my entire collection of Hardy Boys book as well as some other books in my collection. The Hardy Boys collection consists of over 220 different books and 1 or 2 duplicates. The collection includes early books from the 1920s through the later picture cover books of the 60's and 70's and all in between. There are 1st editions, harder to find variations and examples of all the different dust jacket art, spine types, book boards and end papers and even story revisions. Information on each book that I provide comes mostly from the fine guide, Hardy and Hardy Investigations 6th edition by Tony Carpentieri and Paul Mular. If you are looking for a certain book for your collection or just readers for your kids or grandkids, check my listing periodically because it will take some time to get all these listed and I will do it randomly. All my jacketed books are protected by Mylar, done by me or a previous owner. I'll combine shipping if requested.Note: Since I originally listed these books, I have sold about 160 of them. I thank all those that have bought from me and hope you are pleased with your purchases. I still have 60 or so books and will continue to list them. A great number of the first editions, variations and harder to find books are now gone, but there are still white, yellow and wrap spine books as well as a good number of PC's with both original and revised text available. Thank you all for looking. The Wailing Siren Mystery is the 30th title in the Hardy Boys series. This copy has a wrap spine dust jacket with original art by Bill Gillies. It was printed in 1951, the 2nd printing of this title. It has been paired with the 3rd printing of the book, however, a 1952 printing. This is probably bookseller mischief but it is possible the printer just used up extra dust jackets from the last print run. This 3rd printing of the book has tan boards and binding, (The 2nd printing of the book that should be paired with this DJ, would have had brown boards and binding). This book has orange Gretta, (J Clemens Gretta), endpapers. The dust jacket has a large tear/crease combination across the front cover. It has extreme edgewear on the front edge and small missing chips on the top front corner, inside bottom of the front flap and the top of the spine. There are smaller chips along the bottom of the spine. The tan book has scuffing on all the edges of the boards and binding due to lots of handling. There is a light blue stain on the front board. The other side of the front EP, (blank), has parted from the binding on the blank side. Jeanette Ruth Seggern signed her name here on the blank page. The rest of the pages are still attached and are undamaged as is the rest of the binding. The endpapers are clean and unmarked. H&H designates this DJ and book as The Wailing Siren Mystery 1951B-2 (DJ), 1952A-3 (book)
