Description: Wonderful paper mache Eagle design decorative hanging mask, artist is unknown, this mask was found in an estate located on the Salish-Kootenai tribal reservation in Polson, Montana, believed to be made by Native American of local tribe. Looks to have been made from a mans face with wonderful shaping of nose, mouth and eyes. Throughout the front eagle cutouts can be seen in standing or flying positions. Both sides have leather strings with line to hang on the back. This mask has no tears, has not had a protective gloss put on. Mask measures about 7" tall and 5 1/4" wide. There is no paperwork or signature to identify artist or where made.
