Description: The thing that sets our bowls apart is the FINISH. It's not a "dull wood" finish. We have a special bees wax aging finish that we apply to all of our bowls. It takes an already distressed bowl and makes it look OLD and WARM and very primitive. And it STAYS that way for the life of the bowl. It is smooth to the touch and it is beautiful. This is trencher 2208. THIS one has been discounted for a pretty nitpicky reason. There's nothing "wrong" with it, however it is slightly uneven on one end. You PROBABLY wouldn't even notice it if I didn't point it out, however I noticed it and am therefore discounting this bowl as a result. Rick repeatedly finished and distressed it with our special bees wax to achieve a wonderful AGED look. And BECAUSE of the distressing and waxing process these are NOT suitable for storing raw foods OR wet products in. Measures OVER THREE FEET LONG at 39" inches. It is 5 1/2" wide and it stands approx. 1 5/8" tall. Weighs TWO & a Half Pounds. This piece has been HAND HEWN (carved out of ONE SOLID Piece of wood). You will see carving and rasp marks in the wood as well as slight splits or imperfections. We simply oil and then wax and buff them in to blend perfectly with the surrounding patina.
