Description: Set of 2 handcarved ebony wood bookends featuring grazing impala antelopes. I believe these were originally sold by Novica. The animals are secured to a vertical section of wood which measures about 6-1/4 inch high. These bookends are medium weight, suitable for holding average-sized books. There is a stylized Gye Nyame Adinkra symbol carved on the vertical section of each bookend, a Ghanian reference which means "I fear nothing but God." One of the antelopes has a repaired back leg (please view last 2 photos).
