Description: Autumn Leaf dinnerware by the Hall China Company was exclusively manufactured for the Jewel Tea company from 1936 - 1978. It was extremely popular and the only way to obtain pieces were as premiums from Jewel Tea. They were offered by door-to-door sales people as premiums for the purchase of other items, such as grocery items, teas and coffee. Many housewives in that time collected this beautiful orange and gold leafed dinnerware and used it as their best china. Today these pieces are highly collectible. Markings on bottom say Hall Superior Test and approved by Mary Dunbar Jewel Homemakers Institute. Smallest bowl and one medium bowl have small chips in the edge
